Train

At Brussels airport there are national and international trains. The train station is located at Level -1 in the terminal.

 

International trains

Trains run to a lot of the major cities in the Netherlands like Rotterdam, The Hague or Amsterdam.

Travel time is between 1,30 hours and 3 hours, depending on the destination.

Another option is to go to Brussels Midi Station where there are trains that run to Cologne (Germany), Paris (France), Lille (France) or London (UK).

 

National trains

Brussel airport connects with other train stations along the city: North, Central and Midi. During weekends there are trains that go from Luxembourg, Schuman and Etterbeek to Brussels airport.

Bus

The bus station at Brussels airport is located at Level 0 where there are three different platforms used by: De Lijn, MIVB/STIB and Antwerp-Brussels Airport Express.

 

De Lijn

Lines 272 and 471: buses go to Brussels North station.

Lines 272, 471 and 620 go to NATO

Lines 359 and 659: buses go to Roodebeek station.

 

Regional services: To Mechelen, Leuven, Vilvoorde, Jette, Merchtem, Brussels Expo, Haacht, Diegem, Roodebeek and Groenendaal.

 

Buses that run through Brucargo, buses depart from PlatformB, the other services depart from PlatformA. Inside the perimeter of the airport, De Lijn buses are for free.

 

MIVB/STIB

It is a express service that goes between Brussels airport and the European quarter in 30 minutes (PlatformC).

From Monday to Friday (8pm) there is an express service (number 12) that only serves the major stops.

During the week, including Saturday and Sunday (and holidays), after 8pm the line is the number 21 and serves all the stops.

 

It is cheaper to get the tickets with the vending machines, to buy a ticket to the driver is more expensive.

 

Antwerp-Brussels Airport Express

It is a service that runs between Antwerp and Brussels Airport (and viceversa). It stops at:

- Kon. Astridplein (Central Station)

- Crowne Plaza

 

Ticket price:

- Adults - €10

- Children - €5

Flixbus

From Platform E there is a night service bus that runs to Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Brussels, Lille and Paris.

 

Taxi

At the airport the licenced taxis are blue with a yellow logo. All of them are metered and wait in front of the Arrivals Hall.

 

To reach Downtown Brussels is about €50.

Various hotels in the surroundings of Brussels airport offers free shuttle bus service.

To pick up the service: go to Level 0, Platform E on the coach.

We recommend you to confirm with your hotel if you can enjoy with the free shuttle service before arrive at BRU airport.

 

Bike

At the airport there is a special fenced off cycling track (red) that goes from the coach park P15a to the roundabout in Zaventem. There are special places to park the bikes as well as charging stations for electric bikes.
